Darren works at a large county primary school. Louise works in the research team at the British Psychological Society. They like to spend their spare time enjoying family time with their 5 children. They also enjoy the theatre (particularly musicals), all kinds of live music, city breaks, ballroom and latin dance lessons, and most things food related!
They got engaged in August 2017, on a Mediterranean cruise. Darren proposed on the balcony of their cabin when the ship was somewhere between Barcelona and Corsica. That evening was a Roaring 20s Gala Night, and they were both dressed in 1920s style evening dress. (To this day Darren still claims that as the proposal was in international waters and it is not legally binding in any country!:))
Fawsley Hall was not a venue either of them were familiar with and they just happened to come across it by chance when they were driving around the area. The initial wow factor as they drove down the approach to the venue and entered the building itself really stuck with them. Fawsley offered us the full package that we were looking for and we felt that it was ideally suited to an autumnal wedding.
Why did you choose to have a wedding video?
Having both been married before many years ago we knew how quickly the day would pass by, and how difficult it would be for us to take everything in and to remember all the little details that had been so long in the planning. Therefore, it was important to both of us to have a filmed record of our special day. Daniel was recommended both from within the industry and by a work colleague whose wedding he had captured the previous year. We were also extremely impressed by his online portfolio as the style of his videos was exactly what we were looking for.
What was your biggest hope for your wedding day?
Our biggest hope is that it is a truly special and memorable day, not just for us, but also for our family and friends and particularly our children.
